Sweet Dreams

Last night I went to bed reasonably early in the hope that I’d catch up on some sleep not had earlier in the week. I slept well, woke up only once in the night (compared to my usual 3 or 4 times) and had a great dream. I don’t think I’ve had such a great dream EVER. Last night, we saved Katie Holmes from Scientology.

Katie and Tom lived next door. One morning she came to us asking if she could stay as she wanted to hide from (wack job) Tom. Obviously we said yes. Tom on finding Katie had gone, sends out a scientology search party – all celebrities. Seth Rogen was there, tho’ I don’t think he is a Scientologist. It was great. Bizarre but great. I wondered what brought on such a weird dream and then I realised there has been alot on Tom and Scientology about recently… maybe videos like this will give me more weird dreams.

Cheap = Sweatshop

Today at work a lady buying boys polo shirts remarked at their price.

“They are extremely cheap, I hope they weren’t made in a sweatshop”

to which I replied “of course not madam..” and reeled off some info on why we are now selling polo shirts for only £5. My explaination to the customer was correct yet the way she looked at me suggested she saw me as spewing the company line. What I love is she may have had her doubts, yet she still bought the items. People are constantly making comments about the company and possible (or even proven) ties to unfair labour, yet they still shop.

As for the polo shirts, think outside the box lady, seriously. Primark sell stuff way cheaper than we do and they don’t get the same hassle!!

We were the best dressed couple there…

According to Mary Lynn (Chloe in 24), Rich and I were the best dressed couple at London Expo… wasn’t that difficult really, but we were chuffed.

I’m a bit of a geek. Actually I’m a lot of a geek. I own the boxsets for every TV show I’ve ever obsessed over. They have to be in the same kind of design packaging (so no seasons 1 – 3 from the US and 4-7 from the UK). I get so much into my shows that you aren’t allowed to phone me when they are on. AND, I collect autographs, but personalised so that they aren’t sellable.. duh.

Blasts from the pasts

The internet is a wonderful thing. Not only does it provide us with a portal to inflict written torture upon others, it also provides an easy way to keep in touch. Who knows what we would do with out the internet. Phone each other? Seriously, who does that anymore????

Anyway, as I am a sheep with the whole “blog” thing, you wouldn’t be wrong in expecting me to have signed up to almost all networking sites as well. I am member of WAYN (though I am not sure why), friends reunited (I like looking at profiles of people I went to school with to confirm how much better my life is than theirs), Friendster (sooo OOOOOLLLDDD), Myspace (I don’t think I can take any more random band add requests) and the newest fad, Facebook. I guess of all of them, Facebook is the best (of a bad bunch…) and it seems to have had a variety of people from all stages of my life track me down.

I’m going to blog about it.

A phrase I have to stop saying.

I’d like to refer to my first post stating that I should be bored with this whole blog thing in a week… well its been over a week and I’m kind of into it. I just have to stop thinking about everything said and done in blog terms.
